CAMP HOURS-
JR. OVERNIGHT-
The overnight is for girls entering 4th through 7th grade. It begins after camp Thursday afternoon and ends with the rest of camp on Friday at noon. PAs assigned to Jr. Units, PAITS and Rainbow PA's are also invited to attend. (All other PA's may not spend the night) Please pack light for the overnight. Please click here for a list of what to bring.
WHAT TO BRING TO CAMP-
Note: if you wear or bring sunscreen or bug spray, it should be unscented. We have people at camp with asthma and scent allergies.
WHAT TO WEAR TO CAMP-
Camp Shirt - On the first day of camp you will receive your camp T-shirt. You MUST wear it every day so that we know you are a part of the AMT Day Camp.
Long Pants or Shorts - There is poison oak and stinging nettle in the woods, so you may want to wear long pants. On hot days, light weight cotton pants will help keep you cool and prevent sunburn. If you choose, you may wear shorts at your own risk.
Sturdy, closed-toe shoes and socks - If you do not wear proper shoes, you cannot participate in camp. Parent/guardian will be called to provide shoes. It's always a good idea to wear ankle-length socks when you are hiking in the woods. Besides keeping your feet comfy in your shoes, socks will help keep you from getting ticks and/or mosquito bites.
Jacket/Sweatshirt and Raingear (if rainy) - Even when the days are warm, the early mornings at camp can be cool. Make sure your name is in your jacket or sweatshirt. While we hope for dry, sunny weather for camp, sometimes we have a few sprinkles. If it looks like it will rain during the day, please wear your raincoat and water resistant shoes or boots.
BUS INFORMATION-
AMT Day Camp offers bus service from Ladd Acres, Cooper Mountain and Sexton Mountain Schools. Please arrive at the bus stop by 8:00 a.m. and plan to pick your child up at 3:30 p.m. (time subject to traffic) You or your pick-up designee MUST have a camper pick-up card to pick up your child. (Cards will be mailed to you before camp)

WHAT TO EXPECT AT CAMP-
There are new things to do and see every day at AMT Day Camp! Although each unit schedule will be different, click here to view a sample of a typical week.
RAINBOW-
The Rainbow Program teaches outdoor and camping skills in an age appropriate, progressive manner. Every camper starts off with a Rainbow patch, and learns and demonstrates skills to earn a colored segment. Each year, campers will be given the opportunity to earn the next color segment as they build their skills. Campers learn about fires, outdoor cooking, knot tying, hiking, first aide, and camping, all in a fun and supportive environment.
MEDICATION FROM HOME-
If your camper requires medication from home, please complete the Prescription and Over-the-Counter Medication Form and send it to camp with the medication. Medication should be in the original packaging. Your child should bring a week's worth of medication to be stored with the health supervisor and returned to camper on Friday.
